How do you know if you have a slipped disc or disc herniation?
When one has a slipped, herniated or prolapsed disc they can have back pain as well as nerve pain. Slipped disc can cause spinal pain where ever the location is of the slipped disc itself. If one has this condition in the neck, mid back or low back that is where their pain can be located. Individuals with a slipped disc or herniation can have muscle spasm, muscle tension, and sharp shooting, tingling, burning nerve pain.
The slipped disc or herniated disc can press on the spinal nerves causing nerve pain. Examples of nerve pain are tingling,numbness, sharp shooting and burning. Nerve pain can travel to different areas of the body depending on where the location is of the slipped disc. If one has a disc herniation or slipped disc in the lower back. They can have pain in their glutes or going all the way down their leg to their feet. The nerve pain can also travel up the spine from the low back. If one had a slipped disc in the neck.
